Buddina
State School opened in 1979 and became an independent public school in
2016. The school currently caters for approximately 750 students from
Prep to Year 6 who not only engage in the learning expectations of the
Australian Curriculum but are also offered an extensive range of
extra-curricular opportunities. These range from the academics of the
Inspire Excellence Programme, artistic outlets of the Artist in Residence
Programme and the biennial musical as well as surfing and skateboarding via our
academy.
The
school has a reputation for excellence and is well served by
dedicated, enthusiastic and caring staff who most willingly and ably share
their talents and abilities with students and other professionals. An
extensive support network is in place to cater for students of all abilities.
The
parent community has strong representation through an active P&C and School
Council that has a vested interest in gaining the best opportunities for the students
of Buddina. A parent forum meets regularly to allow parent
representatives, from all 31 classes, time to discuss aspects of the school with
me.
I
believe that you will find the Buddina State School community a very welcoming
one and I encourage you to become involved in your child’s learning as well as
the social aspects of the school and help us to maintain the supportive network
we currently have.
Regards
Mr Russell Thompson
