Our Library
Our school library is a modern, welcoming space located in the centre of the school. It is used by all students for borrowing books, reading, and enjoying a range of supervised lunchtime activities.
The library is open five days a week.
Borrowing
All classes have a scheduled borrowing session each week to ensure students can regularly borrow and exchange books.
Students can choose from a wide range of fiction and non-fiction titles.
Please ensure students bring a library bag to protect borrowed books.
Special Events
Scholastic Book Fair
Each year, the library hosts the Scholastic Book Fair. This is a wonderful opportunity for students and families to purchase popular new books, posters, and stationery.
The library receives a commission from all sales, which helps us update and expand our collection throughout the year.
Children's Book Week
Book Week is a week-long Australia-wide celebration held in August. At Buddina, students take part in a range of reading activities, including sharing stories from shortlisted books and participating in library activities during class borrowing times and lunchtimes.
The week concludes with our much-loved Book Week Parade, where staff and students dress up as their favourite book characters.
